I do not distance myself from my past. It is the foundation upon which I build my artistic work.

For many years, I designed and crafted footwear. Today, I paint. I do not draw a sharp line between these two worlds. In my studio, old shoemaking machines stand alongside easels, and the experience of craftsmanship remains an integral part of the way I think about art.
