Gucio
Author’s Studio of Art and Craft
In a former sheepfold belonging to my ancestors near Kraków, handmade shoes and paintings have been created for over 25 years.
I am a footwear designer, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and of Ars Sutoria in Milan, Italy — a student of Adriano Lunati.
For many years I designed and handcrafted my own original children’s shoes. Alongside this work, painting has always remained an important part of my life.
Today, my studio is a place where art, craftsmanship, old machines, paintings, and the memory of things created with care and patience come together.
I am not interested in mass production or haste.
What matters to me is honest work — made by hand, calmly, and with respect for material, time, and people.
Everything presented on this website was created in my studio.

About Gucio Shoes
Gucio shoes came out of love for children. I made them especially for them; suitable sole and heel, natural leather, handiwork, cheerful colors - these are the features that turned those shoes into a child's friend. Even such stars as Gwyneth Paltrow or Al Bano buy them for their kids. During walking the back of the shoe adapts exactly to a child's heel - it is the first such solution in the world. Read about Gucio - they are really the best possible shoes for your child.
The idea of making Gucio shoes came to my mind at the time when my wife and I had our first child. As soon as my son started to take his first step I wanted to buy him some very comfortable shoes. Together with my wife we visited a great number of stores... It turned out that all shoes had too tough soles and were made from very hard leather that cut into the little feet of a child. Often they were made of artificial materials, which didn't give any comfort at all. I was convinced that badly-matched pair of shoes can become a reason for posture defects in the future.

Egrono System
The system uses the perforation made in the footsole to create an (easier) bend bottom, through two (or three in larger sizes) rows of small holes located on the axis set at the right angle.
The bottom of the footwear bends easier just where these holes are. This axis is set precisely at an angle perpendicular to the direction of walking, which forces the child to walk correctly.
This solution sets the correct angle of the child's feet to the walking direction.
